Freeview

Arqiva and SDN provide Freeview digital capacity in the UK.

They are bound by strict rules mainly surrounding the fairness of how they are allowed to sell and market their capacity.

This means that to buy a 24 hour stream of digital capacity, you have to wait for a stream to become available, let them know you are interested, and then enter a bidding process.

These bidding processes can take a long time and create uncertainties due to the fact that channel planning can only begin once bidding has been successful.

How does Bidmedia Broadcasting work ?

Bidmedia Broadcasting solely represents Freeview capacity owners who are already contracted into long term 24 hour Freeview streams. These owners will sometimes elect to sell time slots on their channels.

In some cases this time is sold on their channel and in others the raw capacity is 'Carved Out', and assigned its own LCN (Logical Channel Number) on the Freeview EPG.

Bidmedia have created a significant number of new successful LCN's in the past ten years.
